The Stone Door Media Lab provides editorial and audience data analyses for the audio/radio and music industries. The company also produces research, editorial and presentations for media clients and trade associations, as well as for academic purposes.
Jeff Green
Jeff Green is an award-winning executive, writer, researcher, editor and analyst, co-forming the Stone Door Media Lab in September 2012. He previously served five years as VP/Operations at trade publication Country Aircheck in editorial and research roles, database, website/event development and production.
Green’s background also includes 22 years in executive posts at the Americana Music Association, Radio & Records, the Country Music Association and Billboard Publications, Inc.’s European weekly trade pub Music & Media, based in Amsterdam. He is the author and publisher of The Green Book of Songs by Subject: The Thematic Guide To Popular Music, which was published in five editions and ranked as the No. 1 music reference book on Amazon for a full year.
A Radio Advertising Bureau-accredited Certified Radio Marketing Consultant, Green is an alumnus of Leadership Music and the Disney Leadership Institute. He holds a BA in Radio/Television from San Francisco State University and an MBA from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Green has served as speaker, moderator and/or presenter for The Recording Academy/Nashville, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, University of Tennessee, Southern Illinois University, San Francisco State University, Cal State Northridge, NAB, SXSW, MIDEM, CRS, Music Business Association, CMA, SOLID and many others.
Lauren Virshup
Lauren Virshup is a researcher and editor with a BA and MBA from Yale and graduate degrees from Columbia University and Vanderbilt University. She is a former VP/GM of Professional Desk References, publisher of The Green Book of Songs by Subject: The Thematic Guide To Popular Music. A researcher for several years of Nielsen Audio’s four annual Radio Today national reports on radio listening, Virshup has also served as adjunct professor at Webster University in Leiden, the Netherlands. For many years she also wrote international teaching materials for Newsweek’s print editions.
